Awards and Achievements

Administrative

  • Dr. Chaudhary been the main force behind conceptualization, subsequent commissioning and operationalisation of SPORTS INJURY CENTRE, a first of its kind, on most modern lines.
  • His administrative acumen resulted in the center being run successfully on PPP model- a first of its kind in our country. This partnership has worked successfully and the Govt. has earned revenue of Rs. 11 Crores (approx.) over the past 7 years.
  • Under his dynamic leadership the center has emerged as a center of excellence providing integrated diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitative services under one roof. 
  • His efforts resulted in the center being approved by the Ministry of Sports & Youth Affairs as a referral Centre for providing specialized treatment to Indian Athletes who were selected for the Rio Olympics, 2016
  • Dr. Chaudhary was also instrumental Recently, in getting sanctioned Rs. 12.54 Crore for enhancements of the clinical & academic facilities from the Ministry of Sports & Youth Affairs.
  • The success of the centre can also be gauzed from the overwhelming response from sportsperson coming for their treatment from all over the country for their treatment.

 

Clinical

  • Under Dr. Chaudhary’s leadership, More than 12,000 complex arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgeries have been performed at the Centre by the team of Sports Injury Centre, by far the most number of arthroscopic surgeries done at a single centre in the country so far.
  • Some of these arthroscopic surgeries were very rare and have been performed for the first time not only in India but in the world.
  • He along with his team has performed about 1100 Arthroplasty surgeries since inception of this center, apart from many other at the previous hospital (C.I.O)
  • Has done Highest number of Double Bundle Acl reconstruction than anywhere in the world as documented by the Arthrex Sales Head Internationally.
  • His keen interest in Shoulder surgeries mainly arthroscopic, he has developed some innovative techniques for complex Rotator cuff and Revision bankart Repair surgeries resulting in highest volume in our country. 
  • He has successfully treated and rehabilitated many Sports persons who have returned back to their active sports after their surgeries / treatment.
  • The work done by him and his team has been recognized by ISAKOS (International Society of Arthroscopy Knee Surgery & Orthopaedic Sports Medicine) and has been selected as one of few centers in the country for training in Arthroscopy, knee surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine.

Academics

  • Dr. Chaudhary’s initiative has resulted in starting of FNB (Arthroscopy & Sports Medicine) and MD (Sports Medicine) course which is first of its kind in our country.
