TheDepartment extends its services to all ophthalmic modalities including Glaucoma, Cataract, Cornea, Vitreo Retinal Services, Uvea, Squint, Refractive Procedures (vision correction procedures), Neuro-Ophthalmology, Paediatric Ophthalmology, Oculoplasty and Tumours, Contact Lens, Optical and Vision Aids and Comprehensive Eye Check-up.

The Department: The Department provides comprehensive ophthalmology services with state-of-the-art facilities and the most modern equipment at par with international standards. A multidisciplinary team of highly experienced Ophthalmologists, Oculoplastic Surgeon, Vitreoretinal Surgeon, Paediatric Ophthalmologists, and other support staff follow the patient-centric approach for performing advanced surgeries like cataract, corneal transplantation, oculoplastics, retina & vitreous surgery, orbital and lacrimal surgery.

The Department also has a highly advanced Vitreo -retina unit that tackles all forms of simple and complicated Retinal surgeries including Retinal Detachment and Vitreo-Retinal surgery. The unit is equipped with cutting edge technology to treat serious infections and injuries to the eye such as:

  • Green Laser for Retinal Photocoagulation (Slit-lamp delivery & laser indirect ophthalmoscopy)
  • Ocular Ultrasonography (A & B Scan)
  • Routine retinal evaluation (+90D Examination & Indirect Ophthalmoscopy)
  • Screening of premature babies for retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) and its treatment
  • Spectral-Domain Optical Coherence Tomography (SD-OCT/ 3D-OCT)
  • Thorough work-up of uveitis (inflammatory disorders) in conjunction with Rheumatology Department
